Spanish Grand Prix

Jenson Button won his fourth Formula One race of the season by taking the Spanish Grand Prix at the Catalunya racetrack in Montmelo, near Barcelona, Spain, on Sunday, May 10, 2009.

Britain's Jenson Button with teammate Rubens Barrichello, who came second led a Brawn GP one-two triumph. The 29-year-old Briton dominated the race at Barcelona’s Circuit de Catalunya. Mark Webber finished third ahead of Red Bull teammate Sebastian Vettel. Spain's Fernando Alonso had the home crowd roaring when he snatched fifth place.

The safety car was deployed for four laps after a pile-up involving Toyota's Jarno Trulli, both Toro Rosso drivers and Force India's Adrian Sutil. Defending champion Lewis Hamilton of McLaren finished ninth, while Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen retired early with a mechanical problem.
