Italian MotoGP circuit

Date: 1 June 2008
Venue: Mugello
Track length: 5245m
Laps: 23
Race length: 120.635km
2007 winner: Valentino Rossi (Yamaha)

Valentino Rossi has made his home GP his own since 2002. His six straight wins surpassed Mick Doohan's record from the 1990's to the delight of the Italian fans. Set in the picturesque Tuscan hills, Mugello is one of the longest circuits the MotoGP riders visit and is also one of the most demanding; high top speeds balanced with difficult set-up requirements make it an excellent test of machinery and rider.
