Circuit Laguna Seca

Date: 20 July 2008
Venue: Laguna Seca
Track length: 3610m
Laps: 32
Race length: 115.520km
2007 winner: Casey Stoner (Ducati)

Laguna Seca boasts one of the most famous and challenging turns in motorsport, the 'Corkscrew', a combination of turns at corners 8 and 8A with a dramatic drop in elevation and a blind crest and apex on the uphill approach. The circuit hosted the US GP for six years until 1994 but was forced to give up the event because of financial problems. The race returned to the Championship in 2005.
